13.5's lowest.. but the "revived" 340 w/ ported & polished T/A heads ought to help her breath!!
340 10.5:1
T/A ported & polished heads
727 HD
3:91 sure grip

The Tow bars were "welded" to the bumper frame by Ed Hamburger. They stricktly raced this Car @ Englishtown. They towed to the track then back to the garage. 17k org miles. The guy we bought the car from was Hamburger's brother-n-law.. he said in 1976.. this Cuda was the fastest street car in America.. (Ohio nationals) until it was beat by a 57 chevy few hours later. They smoked the org 340.. neet tricks like putting nitrious in the oil using undersized pistons.

I'll NEVER sell this car.. no WAY. I could never replace it. No trailer queen here. I left the welded tow bars on.. I like the look better than the foglights.   8)

moparbowhunter, let's see the MOPAR.. any E-body is cool. They always get the stares. btw - I take it from your name that you bowhunt.. Cudas & Bowhunting are my passions.. got a nice 8 point in the back yard. this past Fall. backs up to 67 acres of a game preserve.. Supposedly, there's no hunting back there..shhhhh   8)

I love the '70's racer look that this car has but a real
history too!

Ed probably tested all those trick pieces and innovations
of his on this car

I wonder if this car was in the advertising or even one
of the featured cars in the Direct Connection books

71Fish:

I still have a way to go with my bodywork on my '71 'cuda convertible.  Sometimes I wonder what color I'll paint my car.  Then I see yours and know that black is the color.

Lb, buckets are mounted using the stock brackets. I measured the stock holes on the floor pans and then mounted the brackets onto the seats the same dimesnsions. What a PITA that was.   The harness's are mounted as follows, side belts bolted into the stock seat belt locations( still have my stock belts hooked up also)..  The shoulder belts are roll bar mounts, bolted to the cross bar on the cage. and the sub belt it attached to a custom bracket that runs between the inside of the seat brackets that i made, that way when you move the seat the sub belt will go with it instead of adjusting it for differnt seat positions  . In the process I have no drilled any holes in my  floor, that was teh purpose of using my stock brackets. Hope this helps. Nick

71Fish:

You would like to see my car, huh?  If you saw it in its present condition, I don't think you would feel that way anymore.  Currently, the car looks awful - it's still undergoing serious metal working.

I don't want to mislead you, either.  My car started life as a ho-hum 318/column automatic/manual top/PS/Power Disk Brake Barracuda in a bland shade of metalic green.  Since then, I've found and/or made all of the cool things to create a 'cuda clone (fenders, ralley dash, console, buckets, shaker, etc.).

Your car looks real bad-assed in black.  After I saw your car (and a few other TX9's), I now know that black is the color for me.

71 fish, you are correct in assuming that i am a bowhunter.  ;D ;D
Mopars and Bowhunting are my passions too. i live in iowa, only for about 2 years now, but the hunting here is really good. i shot 2 does this year with my bow and let a couple of nice young bucks pass this year, they only get big if ya let em go ya know.   ;D
i am going to try to get some pics of my 70 Barracuda on the puter soon. like mustardketchup said mine is a long way from being a nice car but its mine and i have waited fora cuda for a looong time so i guess i can wait for a little longer to be able to drive it. it needs a lot of work like i said. Patience is a Virtue   :D
