I think the last picture I posted was current, I need to build the upper plenum and run fuel lines. I already built the megasquirt controller and have a harness pigtail. I still have to mount the 36-1 EDIS trigger wheel to the crank damper and build a bracket for the crank position sensor.

I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

Above where the oil pressure sender screws in somewhere. I haven't looked at that in a while but that is the plan. also thought about building a solid valley pan welded to the lower intake and putting them under there but haven't measured for clearance yet. There is already enough stuff under the intake just with the fuel lines, Y block, EDIS module and also the injection harness.

Thanks :2thumbs: looks neat when you can't see stuff :cooldancing:

What are you using on the front for throtle bodies and are you building a lid or having the top expossed and running tubes with air cleaners :jumping:

I'm trying to keep things "clean" with minimal amounts of wiring etc. showing when done. I have a throttle body off a 460 ford truck that I am going to use initially and move to an aftermarket unit once funds become available. On the upper intake, I'm going to use a piece of 1/4" plate I have to bolt to the lower intake and the actual plenum will bolt to that. The 2 pieces of "D" shaped extrusion are going to be cut a couple of times and welded back together. Essentially I'm using this for the inspiration of how I would like it to look, except with a single throttle body and the air intake/throttle body mount aiming slightly towards where the distributor used to be.

sorry, should have said single throttle body with two butterflies. I'm not sure on the size but I think they are around 55-58 mm each. It's an ugly throttle body, but it should be enough to get the car running so I can tune it. I went with this one since the cid is close to the 440 so the throttle size should be in the ballpark for my current engine.

:bananasmi It all makes sense now.......... :2thumbs: Twin outlet throttle body :grinyes:

Good idea doing your homework and not going silly with sizing on the Throttle body :clapping: I can't wait to see the engine all bolted up finished :woo:

Keep plugging away old mate

I might do an air box eventually, but I would like to tie the intake into the AAR hood if I can, to get it running though I will run a cone filter.

That sounds like a plan........................ :2thumbs:

While on the subject, have you got plans to run a standard sized AAR hood scoop or one that is a little larger in height ?   The picture in your avatar looks as though the hood has a larger scoop ?

I have the standard size hood height, it all fits under there, I've mocked it up already.

that is my concern also, once I get the body off to the painter I'll start working on the intake etc. again. If I can gain some more space under the intake so air can get in and out I think it will be ok. I doubt I can fit the coils under there so they will probably go behind the intake somewhere. I am a little concerned about the EDIS module since they aren't designed to take a lot of heat and also having the coils too close to the EDIS module is a bad idea for EMR/EMI interference. I'm also considering making a window on each side of the lower intake between the ports to both run the injector wiring and add a little more airflow. I'm surprised no one has asked about the injectors yet, but I'll leave that open to see if anyone notices anything....

The elastomeric bumpers showed up from Gean Gregory, they fit really well (and my metalwork isn't completed yet)man those things are nice! I'll get some pictures posted tomorrow. Also ordered the XV shock tower braces, they should be here this week.

After having the body guy come out, he hasn't been returning my calls. I don't want to assume anything, but it's starting to bug me. I understand that body guys can be a little flaky, but I hope he hasn't changed his mind.

Hi ntstlgl1970  ,

I am looking forward to the pictures of the bumpers buddy. They just look great on Barracudas, my personal opinion of course. :woo:

If you are having bad vibes about the body man, just remember their are plenty more shops that would love your business, do not rely on this guy if you have doubts, try him again and make up your mind if you think he may give you greef later on...............

Also........ Can you tell me what injectors you ended up using please. :2thumbs:
