i'm going to build a console of some sort, something that will tie into the dash, and incorporate the shifter

I'll start digging tonight.  It should be in a box somewhere in the garage.

I painted up a bunch of parts over the weekend, went through the steering column and painted the upper parts in the same grey as the car, also painted the dash plastics the same color, looks pretty nice so far. Mounted the pedal box and gas pedal last night, so things are coming along. Picked up the rear bumper and last of the parts from the painter today so should make some good progress by the weekend....

sorry for the crappy cell phone pics....

I now have a black floor in the garage - I didn't mix up the thinner and the POR15 well enough so the stuff that landed on the floor stuck.

K frame looks sharp!  I have not forgotten about the shifter, just been real busy as of late.  I'll try and get it dug out by the weekend.

I think I *finally* got my transmission problems sorted out, so I can finalize the front end of the exhaust system and pop the motor/suspension into the car...

Good to hear the trans is a go. I know how you feel on that one!
I'm thinking you sould mix up a little more of the black and finish the floor! The 'Cuda would look sweet on a jet black floor!   :smokin:

nah - I'll pass, it's "kinda" cool, but it sucks the light out of the garage - makes it darker in there. does make it easier to find metal chips though

Was able to get a lot done today, got the frame (the parts that would be blocked by the engine and transmission once they are in) and lower part of the engine compartment covered with body color tinted bedliner. I did this because these parts didn't get any color when the car was painted since the front suspension was in it. It came out pretty nice and I don't think you would even notice it unless you were looking for it once the motor is in the way. Oh yeah, the motor is in the way now too. My buddy Mark helped me out today getting some prep done before I rolled on the bedliner. Got the engine and trans in, front suspension back on (temporarily anyway) and the dash and steering column back in. The car is back on the ground but somehow I didn't get a picture of that. Tomorrow I guess....

All in all a good day but I am exhasted!

Hey Kenny, maybe you replied before the pictures posted...

 :dunno:

I'm going to paint up some more parts in the morning so I can put the bumpers on. The more parts I put on the car, the fewer things to trip over in the garage

I can't remember, but I did pick up some front seats for the car. 02 WRX. got a good deal. Will have to start working on mounting them soon....

I'll post pics of the car on the ground in the sun tomorrow, it looks niiiiice

Things are looking up!

Another good day. Painted the bumper brackets, put the bumpers on and did some other little odds and ends, no sunlight pictures today, but did get a kinda cool nightshot similar to one I did about 10 months ago....I do plan to wash all the dust and dirt off it tomorrow and take a couple of pictures with the hood on there. Hopefully I can get all that done before it gets dark.
