only thing that would have made it go smoother is if we would have raised the back end up a little - next time.....
Finally washed the car today, what a difference. I need to get some more stuff done, the more I look at it, the more I want to drive it.

Doing lots of odds and ends, got the master cylinder adapter and master in, mounted the battery box, cutoff switch and ran cables. Hooked up the starter cables to the remote solenoid. Worked on the wiring harness some. All the things I had to do before the car was painted, now have to fit all this stuff, then take it back out at paint the inside of the car and the trunk. Cleaned up the garage some. Seems like things take way too long to do.

I think I am going to change the intake up a bit, I've got the throttle body on there and I don't like it. Since I'm at a point where once I get the upper and lower together it would be a huge issue to change the configuration, I'm going to change it over to two throttle bodies as opposed to the one, plus it just looks weird to me. A rectangle in the middle of two circular parts.  :-\ Also got the crank sensor/alternator bracket welded together, leaning over the front of the car to tig it while standing on the pedal and running the torch and rod was "interesting"
getting closer...

Is that a 460 throttle body?  If so, what is the mounting flange size (i.e. 3" x 7")?

I ordered a couple of mustang 70mm throttle bodies from summit, one should be here today. it showed up, I like it....

Engineers: yep, it's a 460 throttle body, the mounting flange is (see pics). The thing I don't like the most about it is the overall "length" from the actual thottle shaft bore to the hose connection - it's about 3.5 inches and you can't really make it shorter. Most of the other throttle bodies (fords anyway) are nice and short like the ones on the firebird in Tubbed's photos. I got the throttle body and MAF off a 96 E350 van with a 460.

Kenny: Run one on each side sorta centered over the "D" shaped section of the manifold.

Tubbed: thanks for posting those, I might try and run the throttle cable up the center from the bottom somehow like that setup. I can only try and make it look as nice, but my welding skills aren't anywhere near that asthetic quality.

since one of the new throttle bodies got here already (thanks summit! one day delivery) I added some pics
