Unless you're running a pro-stock scoop, I wouldn't bother.  That thing is TALL.   That's the reason I MADE my intake - and the reason that the OP made his.   Hood clearance.

I was going for the newer viper intake look, and my intake came with a free welder! (ok maybe not free..)

I like like the dual tube look. I would love to do a early style Viper with the crossed runners. But thats well beyond my abilities. Yours is coming out real nice.The fuel block looks good too I like the symmetry.  :clapping:
Looks like good progress. It never ceases to amaze me how long all the little things take. I really thought I would be further along by now.  :cheers:

Got one fuel rail mounted yesterday, still waiting on bandsaw blades, cutting aluminum with a chop saw sucks. Glad I'm going to be painting this.

new band saw blades arrived yesterday, made the stands for the other side of the intake. Using the band saw cut (pun intended) 4 hours off the time it took to make the other 2 stand pieces. Hopefully I can finish welding them up tonight.

Got the other side welded last night, so the lower is pretty much done other than sanding and painting it. Also figured out how to reverse mount the upper so that no fasteners are visible, will work on that next week. This is exciting!

So I got the upper welded up, it sure took a lot longer than I expected. I made some parts to bulk up the area that the bolts fasten to from the bottom of the lower to the upper. Then I welded those in place. I was able to cut out the center of the lower intake to let some of the accumulated heat out when the engine is running. I also made a key fob out of the center of the intake, I'll get a picture tonight. Lucky I had some 3/4" and 1" thick scrap material lying around. I had to make a bunch of flat stock to clamp/bolt all the pieces together so the parts wouldn't warp while I was welding it up. I'm glad I cut the back of the plenum off and redid it in 1/4", it came out much much nicer than the 1/8' material did. There is enough material to sand down to make it look better. So just need to weld on the mount for the fuel regulator and the ignition module on the back of the plenum and redrill the mounting holes for the throttle bodies and I think it's done. So one giant step closer....

Worked on the exhaust this weekend, got as far back as the X crossover. I'm reallly happy with it considering I did all this in my driveway. It takes forever to measure, mark, crawl out from under the car, cut, crawl back under the car, mark, unbolt what was finished previously and then weld it up, then crawl back under the car, bolt the new part in, then begin the process again.

Here is the old exhaust that went with my full length headers, me and a buddy built this 13 years ago, I reused some of the tubing.

I like it, has some good ground clearance for 3" tube

To bad your not a little closer you could come by and use the rack at the shop. I bout a magna flow kit and a few bends It was sheeper then buying all the stainless bends individualy. Just a though.  :dunno:

Made some more progress over the weekend. Got the fuse/relay box mounted and ran a couple of circuit breakers, one for the alternator and one for the fuse/relay box (each are 125A). Figured out how to use the wiring from the stock ignition switch to trigger the relays for the ECM. Got the ignition module mounted in a more permanent location. Figured out where I wanted the wiring to run and finalized the wiring for the coils and crank sensor. I was able to temporarily wire up the power and ground and crank the engine over - good news - the coils are firing and the timing is at 10 BTDC, right where it should be. I also finished up the high pressure side of the fuel system from the tank to the fuel block by the intake. I still need to make the return line and put the stock pickup in the tank with the relocated level sender.
