Oh, you got the new XT manifold.   The Cheverolet LS series version of that manifold is as tall as a tunnel ram.  That one, however, looks to be about the same height as my second manifold, which should be able to clear your hood with about 1/4 inch to spare.

I have not seen any installs of the XT manifold other than the dyno test on youtube. The manifold dips down on the front end. I did receive the throttle body already, but the intake is a week out. Latest update from summit is delivery next friday. I'm not holding my breath on that one.

i was upset enough that I just ordered the thing without measuring.....

Wow that looks sweet! First time I've seen this! Now I'm in trouble! :money:

Wow, That is nice. It's also using the stepper IAC.  I'm wondering how it would fit under a Challenger rallye hood. Do you mind measuring it to the top while sitting flat on a table? Also see how close the TB is to the upper radiator hose bend?

Thanks,
Rob

Got it running again, have to start over with the tuning, but it's a step in the right direction. Probably going to switch to some different ignition coils since I'm using a stock valley pan. Here are some pics. Of course I already had to grind on the thing and redrill the mounting holes to fit my fuel rails on it, at least they will work. The measurement picture is from the surface of the thermostat flange on the waterpump housing, it's only about 3 3/8" clearance.

:droolingbounce: :clapping:  That looks KILLER!!! Good job! I'm also wondering if the hood will fit on? With the AAR hood you have , it has the best chance I'd say?

How about measuring from the top of the water pump, right where the thermostat sits to the top of the intake top?
Or measure from the stamping block behind the water pump to the top where it says "edelbrock"

I have a T/A hood and used to have a 2" carb spacer then a 4" air cleaner fit inside the scoop.

I'm still thinking that it might fit inside the rallye hood.

good to see you`ve got it running again  :2thumbs:   still too bad you won`t use the twin tube intake... I liked the looks of that one.  I`m sure it will fit just fine under that hood,  especially when you grind down the "edelbrock" and engrave your own signature...  :bigshades:

I'll see if I can measure it tonight. The tallest part is actually the flange the throttle body bolts to behind the idle air adjustment screw. It sits higher than the plenum.

That looks fantastic.   I got a question for you though.  I see the PCV crank case valve hooked up, but don't see a breather on the other valve cover.  How is it venting filtered air in?

Al, air goes in the same hole where the oil is put, when filling.

Sorry guys, I was trying to be funny because I didn't see it either.   I didn't know Al would start questioning his meds.

It's all okay Al.
