Steve called at lunchtime and asked if I could come down and ok the stripe before he did the other side of the car.
He added some more detail that I was not expecting. It's pretty amazing
Anyway, I said "yeah I like it!"  :faint: He is still tweaking some accent color stuff for the shadows of the strobe stripe blocks but the style of the stripe and badge are final. I like the way he did the little accents that give movement to the badge and the CUDA name. I also like the picture where you can see the mirror he uses to make sure both sides of the car are the same-pretty cool stuff.

I'm glad I told him he could do whatever he wanted on the stripe, it is way badass.

Badass...

Seriously though, the color and the strobe all look great and compliment each other well. The blue is the color that I was considering for my '71 Satellite and after seeing your car, I'm definitely moving it to the top of my pick list. Way to make it yours. :ylsuper:

Not my thing and you have stated its not yours either but it would be cool to see some red, white and blue ghost flames coming up from the side exhaust.

I'm actually not going to run the side exhaust, though that would be cool with some fire. It's still going to have a couple of Gran Coupe touches (couple of the unique Gran Coupe only trim stuff) that will make it unique.

Went to see the car today, it's looking great. Steve got some clear on it, but everything is being wetsanded again. He added some more details that I think work well and I finally caved and let him put a little "fire" on it. It adds a little extra without being over the top.

This is so above and beyond what I had imagined it's hard to describe!
I've heard guys say that the "project took on a life of it's own" while talking about a car, but I never understood until now. I can't believe this is my car!

Wow!

:2thumbs:  Wow. Looks outstanding.  I love the flames on the hood.  It's gonna be beautiful when it's all rubbed out.   :bananasmi

I love the blue flames coming off the AAR CUDA part of the stripe. I love the way the strobe is connected and pierced at the front. Looks as though you have a very talented painter. He is going to get a lot of miles out of the paint job he is doing on your car. Everyone who sees it is going to want to know who the painter was. You ought to tell him to give you a pile of business cards and cut the paint job in half
