Got the rear axle and suspension parts painted, gas tank sealed, bunch of other stuff painted and got the rear of the car put together. Went through the tail lamps and cleaned those up, came out nice. Changed the fasteners for the filler neck. Still have to run the fuel lines and mount the pump. Started on the exhaust on the front end. Just takes time, never enough time.....

Thanks Ken, Been doing little stuff, door handles, latches, started building the exhaust, put the antenna in to see if my guesstimate on the location came out right. Just all takes time and adds up. Had to rethink my fuel supply idea. There just wasn't enough room to run the supply side under the intake so I ran it up the frame and sorta in the stock location. A buddy of mine has a mill so he built this fuel block (-10 in, 2 -8 out) for me from a crappy drawing I made and it came out nice. I have the hard line run back to the post-pump fuel filter, still need to run the line from the post filter to the pump. Then make up the return line and hook all that up. I like it, getting closer....

Neat idea with the fuel block there.  I may do something similar.  I had a Y block floating around here somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.  Might just do something trick, I dunno.

Oh, and you definitely keep us guessing with all the thread title changes....lol.  I have to look hard for this build from time to time.  :lol:

I hadn't updated in so long I had a hard time finding it myself! Got a plate made to cover the vapor seperator hole in the trunk and reinstalled the battery. I'm going to have to practice on the tig some more- need to put the pcv into the valve cover and make a breather for the other side, finish the fuel rail mounts, maybe I'll get those things done Sunday. I have an aeromotive -10 x 2 -8 Y block I was going to use but the angles were all wrong or would result in the flexible part of the fuel line being about 2" long with 150 degree fittings on one end.

Unless you're running a pro-stock scoop, I wouldn't bother.  That thing is TALL.   That's the reason I MADE my intake - and the reason that the OP made his.   Hood clearance.

I think with the height of a regular manifold plus the carb and air cleaner are probably close to the same height as this thing.  It looks like the one Holley has been selling to Chevy guys for years.

I posted that manifold in the engine section a while ago, it looks like they adapted the chevy manifold model to the 440, I think it looks pretty cool. I want to try and get mine to work before giving up on it, although it's very tempting. Got a little more done last night, cut down the throttle lever on the secondary throttle body (see close up photo above), broke the belt on my belt sander and dulled the band saw blade, time for new supplies....
