Not Restoration but History
« on: September 19, 2007 - 09:31:57 PM »
Found two shots of my car from roughly 1980, meaning I had owned it about two years.  The sexy guy with the quasi-afro is me, after pulling an all-nighter helping a friend swap motors in a pair of 68 Chargers.  You can see that I've already been "enjoying" the car from the recently primered fender and the bondo in the driver's door.

The second pic is on the beach at Daytona, taken during my first trip to Florida with the Challenger.

10-4 on that CB Grasshopper.  I was the Artful Dodger. Never did it right, though; just had a magnetic mount stuck on the trunk or the roof, which I never bothered to tune.  Nor did I have a license.

That was a cheap locking gas cap.  I lived in a very bad area at that point and someone was siphoning the gas out of the cars in my apartement parking lot regularly, so I put a locking cap on.  About a year later I lost the key and had to pry it off with a tire iron

Did they switch sides on the fuel filler on 72-74 Challys? I had never noticed the fuel port was on the opposite side compared to a 70-71.
