Keep the faith, Don.

Our prayers are with you every minute of every day.

 :wavingflag:

Don, Just setting back and thinking to myself that I wish you were home to enjoy your cars and I am hoping all is going good for you. We miss you here. And all the CC.C members that are overseas right now. I am safe in this chair in my little room and it is because of the dedication you and others chose to keep us safe and free from terror.

Thank you Don and so many others. Please come back home to us.

Gordon is doing good, he has contacted me a few times.  He is at Taji Air Base which is about an hour south of me (Im in Balad City not the Air Base)  He is a contractor for the new MRAP vehicles that we use here.  These new vehicles have saved lives!  There are a blessing.  I might be sliding our of my lane here but he may be getting sent to another base to be a field service rep to work on the vehicles out towards the front lines so to say.  But to answer your question he is doing good and from what I can tell he seems happy with what he is doing.

Hey Don, great to hear from you. Here is a little story that I think you might enjoy. My wife and I were heading to Colorado a while back on the way to a jewelry show and met a young man by the name of Dave Beery if memory serves me. My wife has made a prototype pendent called "Tears of Honor" that has three pear shaped "tears" in red white and blue along surrounded by a circle of diamonds. It includes a poem she wrote about the sacrifice that both spouses make in supporting our way of life. The prototypes were made with cz's and done in silver. We had walked up to this man to thank him for all he is doing for us here in the U.S. and then proceeded to talk to him for quite a while as we had a 2 hour layover. By the time we were set to go. We decided to give him one of the pendants along with a chain for him to give his wife. It was neat to see the appreciation in his eyes for something he does which most of us take for granted. I told him it pales in comparison to what he and the rest of you guys and gals are doing for us over there. Stay safe buddy and may everyone have success and come back SOON.  :wavingflag:

...the new MRAP vehicles that we use here.  These new vehicles have saved lives!...

I had to look that one up. ;D "Mine Resistant Ambush Protected" vehicles.
This 6x6 looks pretty darn COOL!! 8)  Except they need to shield those hydraulic hoses, if they expect them to last very long in the event of a blast. :clueless:

Glad you're doing well over there, stay safe & THANK YOU for what you do!!
