Because in those photos it likes like the rack end link attaching point is about 6 inches back from the rack body mounting points. As the suspension goes up and down the rack links will be moving in compounding arcs.

I agree, I was looking at the horizontal alignment and not the fore and aft, mounting point.  If the guy didn't use known working plans to setup the geometry, then who  knows how he  constructed the rest of the car.

 May have to take the rack mounting brackets off and move the rack up or down till the bumpsteer is corrected, then remount the rack.

Hey Torred, this is a little more than you want but you could get it sorta locally in Boston I think.  Needs to be put together but supposedly all there minus drivetrain.  Has new floors and trunkpans.  YOu figure you add in shipping from other parts of the country and it all adds up....    Different asking prices?

Thanks guys but things have changed a bit-my other dog now needs a tooth pulled and will probably be needing ACL surgery in the near future just like his brother went thru last July.That`ll add up to over $2000 in vet bills so my car budget is now down to around $1000 or less.Money comes in one hand and out the other!   
Too bad as the back halfed Duster looked like a decent project for the money.I did find a bunch of Darts and Dusters in a local junk yard but am waiting for a break in the weather for the owner to drag them out of the weeds so I check how bad the frame rails are.If they are salvagable the price is the going scrap rate-$300 a car.

I've still got a 72 Chally in mid/eastern PA (near I-80) for sale for $500. It's a roller which if I don't sell, I was just going to cage/back-half it for a drift car. It's very rusty but has no accident damage that I've been able to find anywhere. Still a few good parts on there that are worth the asking price. No title, just a bill of sale, same way I got it.
