Emergency Brake setup on 70' cuda
« on: September 21, 2007 - 06:45:40 PM »
Since I've gotten my cuda a month ago, I've been working on it a little at a time.  Today I discovered the emergency brake has been disconnected and the cable is just strip tied up under the car.

Can anyone send me a link or a picture, schematic, diagram of a complete emergency brake setup?
I'm afraid I maybe missing pieces but I want to get it all hooked back up.   :clueless:

BTW, car is coming along.  Got the 456 rear end swapped for a 390.  Got my gas leak fixed.  Still struggling with the bog on the 6 pack when I lay into it.  And waiting for the rest of my keisler 5 speed ccnversion (are they always this slow, been 4 week and only have half the parts).

Thanks,
Blueglow

Wow only 4 weeks & you have 1/2 the parts . I waited 6 months for a pistol grip shifter from them [before Mopar had them ] & I was told it was in stock & would be shipped immediatly when I orderedd it

Oppppps
the park brake has a main cable that goes from the pedal to the front of the left leaf spring eye then has a balacing connector , center hole for the main cable & 2 holes , 1 at each end for the 2 wheel cables

I am not sure if this is a Cuda illustration,  But it is pretty much the same.

that would be an  A body with the hand brake instead of the pedal , but the rest is identical
