A little old lady (Beverly) who moved to town years ago still owns the farm, i bought the car from her and she filled out a bill of sale.  I asked about the title and she said she is sure that there never was one for it.  I stopped at my distant relatives house while i was in town and asked my distant cousin if they could find the title to the car in their house somewhere.  She said they will look for it but there are no guarantees.  So the title is most likely long gone, and the previous owner wants nothing to do with the car.  I suppose i could go get a bill of sale from my distant Uncle saying that i bought the car from him but then thats not the real truth either.  Anyways, i've got the history covered, i know its not stolen and the title is (most likely) long gone.  If the title does turn up my cousin will be giving me a call with it.
I would call or email your states Registry of Motor Vehicles and ask them the correct procedure.  Some states may not require titles on older cars.  You may just need a Bill of Sale, but I guess the DMV may want proof that the car belongs to the seller, I dunno.....  :dunno:

come to think of it i dont think i ever made it to N St. Paul on a friday night this summer.  We always went to the pizza shop on thursdays and i made it to Anoka once.  that was it.

Well i put the car on ebay tonight.  i'm gonna stick to trying to get my 69 C500 done instead.  My spouse came out and said she likes the color and it would be a cool car but she doesnt want to keep it.

After checking out the pics, I can see why you wouldn't want to tackle this one. :misbehaving: There's still a few good parts with it though. How much of the glass is still there?

Yes thats its.  The glass is still in the doors. i have the side quarter glass, and the back light.  so the only glass missing is the windshield, which was there but it was already taken out and all cracked up and so I left it in the junk pile at the farm.

Good idea!  I'll get a couple extra tanks of gas for the welder and a extra roll of wire and we can have at it.

Couple of bids and some questions about certain parts of the car.  So there is some interest.  If it doesnt sell in whole then i'll get to categorizing all misc pieces and sell it off in parts i guess.  or roll (drag) it out into my neighbors driveway :drunk:

That car is not a big deal to a Midwestern rodder.  My dad's car should have been junked, but it was resurrected from the rust flakes.

I saw nicer cars in junk yards in CA, and those guys only want to cut them up and sell the pieces.  That is a real shame.
