Does anyone have pics of all the available stripes for the 70-71 Challengers?

The 70 Chally had one side stripe. The 71 had a double side stripe, which could be had with or without the R/T lettering on the end. That's about it, unless you include the bumble-bee stripe on the rear. Year One's website is kinda lame for pics, but they do post a few.

70 Challenger had 2 R/T stripes, one painted bumblebee stripe and a longitudinal tape stripe. I think there were a few painted pinstripe type stripes available also. The 71 had 2 tape stripes that I know of, both double side stripes. One that had the R/T lettering and the other without it. Also available was a couple of different painted side pinstripe type stripes. My car I found out had a double painted white stripe that ended at the same spot as the R/T stripe. There is a 71 Challenger for sale here with original paint that had a similar painted stripe to my car only it went the entire length of the car. I bet Barry would be a good one to have the several different types of stripes available in picture form. I have made the decision to add the 71 non R/T tape stripe to my car instead of the pinstriping.

OK, it's not actually a stripe, but the body side molding should also make the list.  Without knowing the statistics, I would guess that side molding was the most common of them all.  Anyone have a stat on that?  Why don't we see more cars with the side molding.  I don't think its all that bad looking.  I would like to see some pics of the 70 and 71 pin stripe options myself if anyone was them.

Here is the 71 paint stripe I was talking about. My car had sort of the same thing only not as thick a stripe and it ended just past the door like the 71 R/T and non R/T stripe does, I cannot find a pic of it or I would post that too.

I have that side moulding, and it supposed to be on.  It is going back on my car, I like it.   :2thumbs:

:iagree:

To tell you the truth if I had that molding I would keep it on there also. It might not go with longitudinal stripes but I would not care because it protects the most vulnerable part of the Challenger, the bodyline that goes down the whole side of the car.

I'm leaning towards small stripe or possibly none at all, what do you think?
