How to tell a power steering colum from a manual?

I heard the shaft length is shorter on the power steering colum, mine is about 12" long from the flange.

I think the power steering shaft is 3 1/2" shorter..  I just switched the shafts since my power colunm was in nice shape. I did want to go thru the trouble of rebuilding and paint the other one. Easy to just switch the shaft.
I'll measure the power one that I took out of my Cuda later tonight..
