Well,

If it's not open to the public, that kind of limits my chances.

I might be going this year, couldn't make it last year.  But there is a new policy of no cameras allowed.  Why?  I don't know.  I think it is crazy.

Ryan

I know thats true no cameras at the AAPEX show but this must be a new thing they started.

To get into the SEMA show I had to show proof of emplyment, including pay stubs and documentation from my boss to go.  So that gives you an idea of what you need.

If I can't go, can anyone pretend to be the Devil?  All you have to do is be all red and have a pitchfork....

I was bummed to see no cameras, but for the most part, the show is so big you almost don't have time to take pictures if you want to see everything

In the past I only needed my business card. We recently got photo ID at work with the company name on it - which also works as proof of employment. We'll see if I get my credentials as - get this -

                                                               AutoZone / ALLDATA
                                                                          Buyer

Our company's parent company is AutoZone so I thought I would throw it on there. They have streamlined the process to register online, but if you just want to go to the show, the default attendee is "Buyer". I didn't see a part of the form to change it on.

Should be fun

I had a really hard time believing that Cameras weren't going to be allowed this year at SEMA with all the celebrities, new cars, models, etc. So I e-mailed SEMA and asked if Cameras were going to be prohibited this year. Here is their reply:

Camera's are allowed and pictures can be taken with the exhibitors approval.

As I had previously stated, cameras are not allowed at all at the AAPEX show which goes on at the same time.
That is where new products are more hard part related and not accessories are at the same week in Vegas.

Sounds good to me, I have two batteries now for my camera, and two 1 gig chips for the camera.  Hope to get out there this year.

Mike have you ever been a counterfeiter before?  :thinkerg:  I'm sure your company you work for must somehow remotely be related to the automobile industry.
