    Gentlemen,

    Thanks for all the input. I can tell you my buddy has decided to buy it, if it checks out. He's not planning on reselling, so the dash vin isn't a concern to him.

    I should have more info and pics tomorrow after he looks at it. He will be selling 2 of his existing cars to help finance the restoration. So, if anyone is interested in a nice Lil Red Express Truck (78K ish original miles) or a 69 Satellite conv (project car), PM me, and I'll pass your number to him. 

    Barry, thanks for your offer of help. I'm sure he'll be calling you once he gets it, and will want to register it.

    Hey Guys,

    My buddy looked at the car today and bought it. Turns out it is an F8 car and is a rubber bumper car. He said he almost fell out when he saw the front bumper. It was repainted about 10 years ago and is still driver quality. They painted the hood Green at the same time they painted the car. HE said it is the best Cuda body he's ever seen, absolutely no rust. Very nice door panels, console and there is a new legendary interior still in the box for it. Yes, it's Green too. New exhaust still in the box also for it. T/A block & heads have had the machine work done and are ready to assemble. Comes with extra 340 also. It's a standard dash car, 3.55 sure-grip, manual steering. It has the build sheet. Carbs were done by Six-pack performance in the Atlanta area.

    It's missing the aircleaner, radiator, kick-down linkage for 727 to name a few things. If anyone has these, please let me know and I'll forward your number to him.

    He is supposed to send pics tomorrow, he was too tired tonight to send them.  I'll post when he sends them.

    I guess there are still decent deals out there to be had. I'm glad he got this car, even though F8 isn't my favorite color, it's still an AAR. It's nice to see an average Joe get a break for once. He says it's nice enough that he's going to try and get it running and drive it like it is.

    I'm glad to here things worked out, and I can't wait for the pictures. There are still deals out there and this was a hell of a deal. I paid 9k for my 70 barracuda plain jane 318 car, because it required little body work and minimal rust. 15k for an aar is a steal. :cheers:

    That kind of deal gives us all hopes that there is the car of our dreams out there waiting for us for less than the national debt. Way to go, glad it worked out for your friend.

    Ok, I posted the pic above and it looks funky, but when I open the file I got from my friend, it looks right. What am I doing wrong when I save them?

    I'm saving as a jpg.

    when you save the picture as a jpg, is there an option that allows you to change the quality of the image or compression? I'm guessing the settings are low quality/high compression which can make the images look bad.
