 A conversation between a Customer and Bank of America (true story)

Bank: This is the Bank of America, can I help you?

Customer: Yes, I want to cancel my account. I don't want to do
 business with you any longer.

Bank: Why?
Customer: You're giving credit to illegal immigrants and I don't
think it's right. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Bank: Well, Mr. Customer, we don't want to see you do that, but we
can't stop you. I'll help you close the account.
What is your account number?

Customer: (gives account number)

Bank: For security purposes and for your protection,
can you please give me the last four digits of your social security
 number?

Customer: No.

Bank: Mr. Custom er, I need to verify your information, but in order
to help you,  I'll need verification of who you are.

Customer: Why should I give you my social security number?
The reason I'm closing my account is that your bank is issuing
credit cards to illegal immigrants who don't have social security numbers.
You are targeting that audience and want their business.
Let's say I'm an illegal immigrant and you've given me a credit
card.  I have a question about it and call for assistance.
You wouldn't be asking me for a Social Security number, would you?

Bank: No sir, I wouldn't.

Customer: Why not?

Bank: Because you would have pressed '2' to speak in Spanish.
We don't ask for that information when calling in on the Spanish line.

It is too rediculous that banks are pulling crap like that. I live in southeastern New Mexico and they have dual language crap going up everywhere. I feel that to know a second language is great but it is just wrong to cater to one culture like what is going on with the hispanics. People want to be US citizens, the least they could do is learn or even just attempt to learn the language. You have people like Chryco that want to come here legally and cannot get a fair shake and now we are passing out credit cards to illegals who dont even want or care to speak the english language? it is pitiful really.

I find that hard to believe.  We have loads of illegal immigrant customers at the bank I work for (at least I am assuming there are a bunch) and their SSN#'s are all bogus, but we still verify their bogus socials.

And you (the banker) would get introuble if you questioned the bogus social secerity number.  Just wrong.  I don't feel too secure any more about my social secerity number.  I called Menards once and was answered (by the automated system) in spanish.  It did not ask me to press 1 or 2 ar anything like that.  I now only shop at Menards as a last, desparate resort.

So someone who has never paid taxes and has the priviledge to come to our country gets double what soemone who has workded alltheir life and paid Cdn taxes gets half and knows his hard earned tax dollars get to fund immigrants who make double his benfit he has worked all his life for

it is pretty much the same thing here. now an illegal can jump the border at the age of 65 and collect social security from us never having paid a cent. they get better health care than people who pay out the @ss for insurance.
