Question on rear springs

I just installed a set of ESPO 1" over rear springs on my 70 Cuda and I'm a little dissapointed in that it sits kind of high in the back. I went with the 1" extra due to everybody that I talked to said the standard arch makes the car look to low in the back so go 1" over.

What I don't care for in the way that it looks is that the rear tire now looks small in the wheel well as well as the rear end sits to high. I'm running a BF Goodrich T/A 255/60/15.

My question is will the springs settle a little so it does not look so high or is this something I'm going to have to live with?

The springs do tend to settle, but not much unless they are not very good quality.  With the good things I have heard here about Espo springs, I would not count on them settling too much.  I would really like to see a photo of how it looks with the new springs, as I was planning on ordering a set with 2" extra, and will probably go with 1" if yours is sitting the way I want mine to be.

I have 255/15/60's on the back of my car with the 6 leaf springs arched 2" over stock. Mine came out exactly as I wanted it to look. It will be interesting to see how your's compares loco340cuda.

Unfortunately I'm leaving today to go out of town for the next couple of weeks so it will be a little while before I get some picts posted.  MEK, from looking at your picture I think my car sits just a little higher then yours in the back.

I put about 200lbs of weight in the trunk and will let it sit while I'm gone.  My thought is that maybe it will settle the springs down a little.  If that does not help, I will investigate if they sent me the wrong springs, or what I can do to lower the back end.

AR Engineering makes front spring hangers with an extra set of holes for lowering the car 1.5".

Here is my 70 Cuda with 1 inch over stock springs from espo. Mine has settled down from when they were put on last fall but only about a 1/2 inch from when I installed them.

When I bought my Cuda it never came with any wheels and I had a set of 14X6 so I bought a set of 225x70 14 and put them on.

I went the stock 5 leaf springs for a better ride and I have had both and there is a difference.

I put the Mopar springs on my Challenger and they sit a little low for my taste so I had to raise it a little.

 When you put your springs on did you put all the weight back on the springs before you tightened the axle U bolts? it will make a little difference. On my AMX's the ESPO springs settled about 1/2", so I wouldn't count on much more than that.  what I did with them was make about a 3/4" lowering block by taking the right size peice of metal , drilling a hole all the way through, then welding a bolt in the hole leaving room for the tie bolt at the top and enough sticking out the bottom to replace the tie bolt in the spring pad. then if the springs ever sags enough you can just remove it.
