BTW please tell me that the YearOne pads are decent ok? It looks good in the top of the closet with the other parts I have gathered but I did not try and fit it and will not know how it fits for about a year or so.
BB71 - I'm not familiar with your resto, but the Year One pads are okay for a driver or local show car, but you might want to look elsewhere if its a top end resto. I put one in last year, and some edges didn't quite line up like the original, and on mine (not sure if its the same for all or not), there were a couple mounting holes that had no backing so there was nothing for screws to go into. I'll post some pics the next time I have the car out of the garage. One thing in particular is that you need to fidget with the VIN mounting. The pad is too thick for the rivets, so you need to cut away some material, or another option I heard was to cut the heads off the rivets, and glue them to the VIN plate, and the glue the VIN plate to the pad. That seems a bit sketchy to me, but for some that's the only way they could make it work.
On a side note, I'm surprised to hear about Just Dashes not being any good. I had always thought they would be the best, especially since you would be reusing your original pad. I have no experience with them personally, I just know a couple Chebby guys that have used them before. Anyone else have problems?
