Where can these be purchased other than on ebay or from year-one?

Ultimate Rides phone number (915) 859 - 5155. I talked to someone named Myrna and they had my pad at the Nationals which I bought. We'll see how it fits this winter.

Your Welcome CP.

Forgot to mention I heard a rumor that BE & A might get on the dashpad re-pop bandwagon. I wouldn't be surprised if Legendary was thinking about it too since they are the interior specialist.

I talked to Legendary at the Nationals in August.  They indicated that they are developing one, but had no timeline for availability (or estimate of pricing).  If it is typical of Legendary, I expect that it will be outstanding quality, and probably priced pretty high.

I don't know why more companies are not re-popping these dashes.  It doesn't seem like the investment would be that much different than any other dashpad (Dart, Chevelle, Mustang...), and there is certainly a huge potential market.  The only thing I can figure is that there are several different pads, depending on the year, so companies are afraid to invest.

Anyway, to the original question...Pads are being recovered by Just Dashes (www.justdashes.com) and Ultimate Rides.  I am not aware of anyone else doing them - I imagine that Year One is selling one of these two types.

I would not give you $10 for the one I got from Just Dashes , it was worse then the one I removed from the car & only cost $1600

Ouch, what was wrong with it Chryco? I almost went that way because I have several dash frames to send for cores but in the end I figured I did not have to have a steel frame and went with a YearOne dashpad. BTW please tell me that the YearOne pads are decent ok? It looks good in the top of the closet with the other parts I have gathered but I did not try and fit it and will not know how it fits for about a year or so.

the Just dashes pad was just reskinned , they never rebuilt the foam under the vinyl so the corners were not even close & the surface was uneven

BB71 - I'm not familiar with your resto, but the Year One pads are okay for a driver or local show car, but you might want to look elsewhere if its a top end resto.  I put one in last year, and some edges didn't quite line up like the original, and on mine (not sure if its the same for all or not), there were a couple mounting holes that had no backing so there was nothing for screws to go into.  I'll post some pics the next time I have the car out of the garage.  One thing in particular is that you need to fidget with the VIN mounting.  The pad is too thick for the rivets, so you need to cut away some material, or another option I heard was to cut the heads off the rivets, and glue them to the VIN plate, and the glue the VIN plate to the pad.  That seems a bit sketchy to me, but for some that's the only way they could make it work.

On a side note, I'm surprised to hear about Just Dashes not being any good.  I had always thought they would be the best, especially since you would be reusing your original pad.  I have no experience with them personally, I just know a couple Chebby guys that have used them before.  Anyone else have problems?

Sorry it took so long, but here's some pics.  Sorry about the glare.  This was pretty much put in with no extra effort, because I will be putting in a rallye dash over the winter.  After that I will work more on getting a better fit.  Like I said before, it looks nice for the price, and has a good feel to it, just needs some work on getting a better fit.

I purchased a Just dashes pad a few years ago and it was top notch. Fit perfect and the color was spot on (blue interior). I did send them a color sample, and it took almost 4 months from the time i placed my order till i got the dash pad. At the time, i paid $800 including the core charge. ($150)

I am not thrilled with the side fitment I saw in your pics but for a driver it should be a huge improvement over the nasty vinyl covered pad I had in there and a lot better than a basic cap. Maybe I will get lucky and the fit will be better. I forgot to get a center speaker grille when I ordered the dash pad so I dont even know what the fit is going to be like around the speaker grille. Thanks again for posting pics of your dash, overall I think it looks pretty dang good.
