INDY SB heads are "the stuff" for really serious street efforts. We've made 545 hp and 540 torque with 'em on "pump fuel", real solid curves too !, in a 408 stroker, using a relatively mild 246/251 Mech. Flat tappet Cam. Thats "plenty" for a stock sb Mopar Block to take, even W/mainstuds.
Bowl cleanup only, real close to "outa the box". They're a serious head ! Only way to buy them is in the "K Kit" form, 360-1K rect port, or, 360-2K oval port, complete, everything from block up to the carb, Headgaskets, manley head bolts, valvetrain, etc., etc., everthing included.
The heads even feature "dual bolt pattern" for use on race blocks. On stock blocks you may have to cut off a couple of bosses to clear headers. Keep the "removed bosses" as they can be welded back on later if you get a better block later.
Just my experience, no wars wanted, Bob out.
