I plan on preparing to strip my car down when I park it for the winter. I really liked the posts  you did with the cuda--gave me some good tips and pointers as I have never done any body work before. Post lots of pic with this project also. Look foward to following along.
Glad you enjoyed the Cuda thread and I hope this one helps. If you need anything just ask.

I'm leaning to a PPG Radiance orange with Burnt orange interior right now. But I have sprayed it before and it is VERY hard to spray doing the underside ,engine comp and outer body. It is tri coat based and very hard to spray large areas.
I have SE chrome and NOS wheel moldings. I think the more chrome the better with this color. It should just pop in the sun.

Cool. Let me know if you need any burnt orange stuff, I have a wrecked 70 Challenger at my dads place with a burnt orange interior. I dont know whats good and whats not since it is loaded with parts and junk but I do know it has a burnt orange console.

Cool I'll keep that in mind when I recheck the interior parts I stored away. I have the console but don't remember what the condition it was in.
The previous owner had removed almost all of the interior before I got it,but I have it boxed up and in storage.

Looks like a great project. Nothing wrong with a 318 Chally :2thumbs: My brother has some burnt orange interior stuff too. If you need anything and I can help. Let me know. It's out of a 70 Cuda but some stuff will work. I know he has the burnt orange steering wheel , a full set of seat belts and one of the nicest original burnt orange console I have seen.

The funny thing about this car is that about all I know at this time on what I'm doing with it is won't be a 318 when it's done. Definitely a four or five speed. But everything else is up in the air right now.
Thanks for the console and interior parts heads up. I'll post if I need anything.
The support on this site is what keeps me going. :2thumbs:

Thought I'd add a small update. I stripped the fender today and found some body filler. It appears that they never straighten the metal before filling. It was pretty thick, but after working over the metal it shouldn't take near as much to fix.
There is no signs of rust anywhere so it is worth the time to fix. I used the wood on the table to push the body line back to where it should have been and this helped move the rest in place. Just a little more shrink dolley work and it will be ready for epoxy prime and then filler.

Worked on the hood today. Most of the shaker kit is installed , it went very well. A little scary cutting a hood that large.
Next will be stripping the paint and leading the seem. Then if I do it right a little filler work to take care of a couple of dents.
