Farmboy,
As always your cars look awesome!
What guns are you using? Devillbis correct? Plus, CVi or ? :)

Thanks, Wes
I used a Devilbiss  GTI on this car, but we also use SATA'S.

Got my sample of Gator gain top material today. The color doesn't look right to me from the picture in the link below .What do you think? :dunno:
http://www.scatpack.com/gatorgrain/gatorgrain.html
It looks like the one pictured beside the brown colored one to me. I havent seen if the hole roll has the same pattern as the sample I was sent, if it does it's not Gatore grain.
Let me know what you guy's think. I think it is what they are calling "Baby Gator Grain"

The image in the link is more glossy looking.  They may have photoshoped it to make it look good.

Here are some pictures to compare. It looks like the pattern is for the baby gator grain But this may have been cut from the section with out the squarer pattern.

To me, it looks like there's a pattern to the "pattern" if you will.....I don't think true gator skin has patters as I outlined in my pics below....although I could be way off on this, but my gut feeling is that it's not real.  There's too much of the same rectangular pattern to be real, IMO anyhow.   :2cents:

The pictures you out-lined on are from a 20K original paint car. That car is near perfect which is why I think the sample that is taped to my car has me thinking it is the Baby gator grain mentioned in Scat pack.I need to see the roll that the sample was cut from to be sure if it is the real deal or not.

Hi RDF,

That picture you posted is the propure pattern for Gator Grain.

Dave, the sample piece you have is not Gator Grain.   It is called Tortise Grain.  What a bummer.  Looks like you will have to wait for Legendary to finish off their run, as they are in the process of making the Gator Grain vinyl available again. :clapping:
