I have to say I had a great day yesterday. I took two of the guy's that work for me and left here at 5:00 AM in a freezing rain. It lasted three hours of the trip. But overall not real bad.
Once we got there and we were introduced to several people at Indy Cylinder heads it was time to see my motor. I've got to say it is a hole different experience walking up to your very own Hemi.
I have installed several in customers cars and now that I have my first one it is a totally different experiance. :woohoo:
It was on the dyno and ready to go.
They did a warm up session and then a couple of pulls for the readout sheet.
Now this is not the highest horspower Hemi ever but it is built for what I have in mind for the car.
So after it was all done it read:
541 HP at 5500
Torque above 500 from 3500 RPM THRU 6200 RPM Best shift point at 5500 RPM
Now to get the Kiesler installed and all of it in the car it should be a blast to drive. Can't wait for summer to get here! :cooldancing:
I'll try to get those speaker dimensions soon but I HAD to work on getting the engine on the suspension cradle tonight.
Dave

Man Christmas is looking good for you! Did you state what cubic inch the hemi is? Looks like you will not lack for torque so it will be a blast to drive. Love the updates.   :2thumbs:

Opps it's a 472. The torque is what I like the most 522 at 3900 with a max of 528 at 5200

Here's another update. I installed the 5 speed and the headers. It went very easy, I dailed in the bellhouse and it needed no adjustment. That is good because all I had was set of .007 offset pins to work with.
The headers fit real good also, but I still have the steering box to mount when it gets here so the left one may have to come back off then.
The stud on the starter will have to be shortened as it is too close to the block to get a nut on it.
