Big day today :cooldancing: I called DR Diff to get an update on when my Dana would ship out and he said it would go out  today or tommorow. That was great news!
Then about an hour later a UPS frieght truck stopped and dropped this off.

It seems there was some miscommunication and mine had already shipped out.
Now I know what I'm doing this week-end!!

I got the tires mounted and some out side pictures today. Like a bone head I slipped the tires in the grass so excuse the mud on the tires. :banghead:
This week I hope to get the front end aligned and maybe a drive back if the weather holds.
One thing I am a little concerned about is the engine smokes I know since it hasn't been driven it will but it seems like too much.
Anyone have any experiance with this?
I've started many 440's and not had this much smoke.I'm going to recheck timing and engine oil to be sure that's all OK.

That 4th pic is fabulous.Except for the tire marks in the grass...That is a really good pic showing off the color. The lines.STUNNING. :bigshades: It's a keeper. Dave,That thing is so sweet. Not sure on the smoke. :smokin: Check it out some more. A quick guess would be valve seals? I will love seeing this car in person someday.Keep us updated with what you find out.  That color is really cool. With the top and interior.Your Challenger is one of my favorites. :swaying:

I just did a recheck of the timing and carbs, it looks like the timing is OK at 34 degrees at 3000 RPM. But the carbs were a little fat on the idle circuit. It still smokes a little but nothing like before so I think some drive miles will set the rings better and it will be good to go I hope :dunno:
Thanks for the compliments!, I WILL be at Carlisle this year, I know I said that before but this time it's going to happen!

Got  a drive in just before the rain and snow comes this afternoon. First drive, the alignment shop got it done yesterday at 5:00 but it was dark and I didn't want to risk a deer hit.
I have to say it is everything I hoped it would be. :cooldancing: I put about 15 miles on it this morning. It's been a while since I sold the Cuda so driving my own car has been a long awaited treat.
I'll use to winter to finish the trunk, speaker covering and do the engine compartment refining.
Should be good to go in the spring!
