Thanks everyone for the nice comments
I can't wait to add some of the chrome to this color, it should really stand out.

Hi Dave old mate,

Love what you had done with the color.  It looks to have real depth and abit more body than standard Burnt orange.  Looks unreel................ :2thumbs:

How did you go with the Gator Grain buddy. :chatting:

I have to apologize for the pictures, the booth lights wash out colors when I take pictures in there. The color is much more vibrant in person. I guess I was just too excited to get them posted after all the painting was done
I'm still working on the top material and will get you an update ASAP.
Today I hope to get the black-out on the rad support and start the sanding and buffing.

Well I started the wet sanding today and found several dirt nibs that showed as black spots in the front fender and deck lid. So it's back in the booth for an overall sanding and a reshoot :banghead:
I should have it reshot by Sunday. Hopefully some new pictures next week.

Dave you're doing a great job on it.  :2thumbs: It'll come out nice.

I envy you on the amount of time you have had put into it up to this point.
I can't ask my boss..."Can I take the day off today to work on my cuda please?"

He would  :screwy: looks at me if I asked him.

I consider myself very lucky, I get to work on  cars I've always loved  and get paid to do it.
It's not always easy and not always great paying but it's better than bolting together collision jobs.
You don't hear people coming home from work and talking about the deer hit on a 2000 Caravan and getting excited very often. :grinno:
Getting time on my own cars is a big benifit also :2thumbs:

It wasn't as bad as I previously thought, we used a new clear from PPg that sanded much better than I thought it would so it is all resanded and ready to go for tomorrow. I'll try to post some pictures if I get it done.

Ok let's see if I can try this again.
I got it reshot today,  :woo: This time there were no problems and can move on to buffing next week.
Still don't like how the color looks on my computer but maybe  it's just my monitor.
The color is very bright and deep in person.
