bend up some mild steel round stock /thread the ends and use the same joints ,then have it chromed.

in a S looking pattern , to get rid of thise blocks, or onstaed of the square blocks use round ones.

On the cable pull side, I always cut a spare one apart, add some steel, then weld the clamp down part so it is a straight horizontal pull to the throttle linkage.  Yours is at a bad angle now.  I also weld up some kind of adjustable stop at the pedal end so that when I stomp on it, it never tries to pull the ends off of the cable or bend the carb shafts.

Nothing a welder and grinder can't fix. Add a second plate to mount to the hole on the right or bend up a new one.

That was my next area to work over, the angle is bad.

Probably what I'll do,wonder if my intake is a mistake in the casting or there is some kit they had in mind for this :dunno:

Any way to add a stock-type front pull bracket and springs?  From either the front manifold bolt or A/C compressor. Dual springs are also a must.

Here is a little update. This week end will be the first cruise for the car and we worked on the box covering for the speakers. I found some gator vinyl at a fabric shop that is patterned real close to the top material in black.
The boys at the shop did a great job getting it close to being done. Just a rear cover I have to build and they'll cover it also.
Let me know what you think!

Yeah I thought I have been boring everyone, didn't want everyone to think I forgot about about getting it done.

I love the gator grain in the trunk, combined with the top     great job on the speakerhousings, looks like they were supposed to sit there...   :clapping:    Personally I would dump the amp somewhere underneath a floormat... just a tad too bling bling for me ,but like everything on your car the finishing is superb.  :2thumbs:
