hey 360, its ok with me that you used a phord color on your car. everyone bastardizes mopars with SB chebbys and phords and dont think anything about it >:( just because they are cheeeeeep.
i had the chance a couple years back to buy a Bonemaro that didnt have a motor and i just happened to have one sittin around, 318   ;D i thaught about pissin off the camaro boys where i used to live by puttin the 318 into it and puting a big Pentastar on it with the saying "touch of class" under it, but i decided not to buy the car, cuz i wantd an E-bod. it sure would have been fun to do that though. bastardizing a chebby like that!!  would be fun  ;D ;D
you cuda looks awesome   ;D

there used to be a mid 70 camaro around here with a 440 in it , it always confused me why he used to run a Mopar licence plate on it until I got to talk to him  ;D

I just did the phord white because it was lying around

I painted a trailer and a '77 Aspen R/T with that paint too

We didn't go with a mopar color either...but we love the color and since we're paying for it....oh well!

I dont' see the problem with going Xbrand paint.......How the hell is it going to hurt your performance???????  Hell if it looks good then go for it....i don't think less of anyone that would use Xbrand paint.....i'm thought about going chevy orange with my motor because its in walmart and i don't ahve to go about an hour away to a dodge dealer to get hemi orange and i would have to order it.

Back on the 518 trans, I posted a question about the 518 on another thread and just found this one.  You mentioned something about an article you have about installing the 518.  Can you post it?  
I was looking at 727's but am now thinking I may buy the 518 instead....  I also bought a 3.55/ suregrip, that would work well with the OD trans eh?

I dont know if you considered it or not, but the truck probably has a lot taller tires, so your car would likely be turning more rpm.  A 4.10 wouldn't be bad at all w/ OD trans, because your effective ratio in top gear would still be about 2.87.  That should be good for most everything except the backstretch at Daytona or Talledega.     Ovmf

I'm going to be installing a new 380hp 360 crate engine and the thought of a OD would be really cool.  I have access to a newly rebuilt set of 3.55 surgrip gears if I want them but they would probably be too high for a OD.  If I go to the 518 instead of a 727 I need to decide soon.  Thats why Im asking whats involved, what mods need to happen and at what cost (additional parts), although the labor I'll do myself.
The guy selling the 3.55 rearend is not going to wait for me too long....  Thanks!
also anyone know what year OD trans came with non locking TQ's?  
Im getting the impression the locking TQ is not the way to go here,  will a high stall TQ fit the locking TQ trans?
