Rear sway bar-how to install

I am going to install a rear sway bar on my 70 Challenger. It did not come from the factory with one. My question is: when I drill the frame rails for the bolts, what should be the attitude of the rear end, or does it matter?, i.e. should the car be jacked up, or should it be in its normal ride position? All components are factory stock.

OE location orients the sway bar the correct distance to the rear...I suppose if you have a radically altered rear suspension there may be allowances that would need to be made. Here is a drawing I made some time ago for another board member that said it worked well for him. Measurement to the lower bolt from the point the frame rail turns up.

 :iagree: Mine also mounted in that location, in fact because the 'U' channel brackets are tapered, they pretty much end up there anyway.

mine was removed for racing.. so I'm also looking to install. I have all the parts but no directions.

The one that I bought from mopar performance 8 years ago was to be installed at road height.
I recall they stated to set the link pieces from the axle verticle and then mount the swaybar to them.  Where it sits is where you drill for the 2 squared U bolts.
