I got my tags today--yippie!!!
« on: October 05, 2007 - 02:41:55 PM »
I love Alabama. I went to the court house today with my un notarized bill of sale today, and got my tags and registration. I even got a personalized plate saying

cuda6pk  and over the top says --Stars fell over Alabama.  Mind you the car has been off the road since 1975.  They still put exempt on mileage on the registration.  All this cost me with tax, personal plate and reg fees a whopping 76 dollars.   So I will be cruising as soon as I can install my seatbelts Aussie sold me. I got one side on now.   I have been nervous with the car not being registered. Cause someone could break in and just take the car and register it. Without any problems if done before reported stolen.

But the downfall of all this is I gotta go on the road sunday morning. I flew in from Richmond Va for 1.5 days to pick up my dually and trailer.

I think I will go for a ride................................. :bananasmi :woohoo:

I got to put 10 miles on it......Ahhhhhhhhh...,It felt soooo good.  But now I'm going to finish installing my belts and some chrome.  I just can't believe how well the 6pk carbs are working and a good idle too.

You know that feeling you get after you uh well oh never mind.  The phrase is-  I need a cigarette

They said it takes 60 days for the convics to make my tag at the prison.  I tried for
cuda440-6bbl   cuda440-6  sixpack  and ended up getting  cuda6pk   that was what the d.o.t. computer let me have.  But I'm legal now and just went and got 5 more gallons of 93 octane.  Today has been a blast :2thumbs:  It was 87 degress all day today and the new engine never came close to getting hot. To bad I have to go to work for 3 weeks. But winter (for what we get) won't be here untill mid january, so I have plenty of time to play.
