Any Pink Floyd fans out there? Have you ever heard of this solo David Gilmour song? 1978 as I recall, but I love it.

LOVE floyd!  Seen 'em three times.  One time they got fined 25K because they broke windows and killed fish in a pond... they were so LOUD!!!      Probably the best show I've ever seen. 1988.

Graduated H/S in 1985...Worked as bartender at a club in Ft. Lauderdale called the Reunion Room that played nothing but "alternative/progressive" music when I was 23-24.  Used to hear a LOT of Love & Rockets, Bauhaus, Peter Murphy, NIN, RHCP, Ministry even things like the Dead Kennedys,  etc.  Love all of that music - and my wife just does not understand it  

I am a bit younger, I started High School in '85. It was the perfect time for thrash, punk and the post punk movement. My girl sort of gets it, but i'm a music obsessed and cannot blame her for litle interest. I still love the DK's, Black Flag, Slayer, Sonic Youth, Smiths etc.

The solo in Comfortably Numb is one of my favorites of all time.      Not too many guitarists that you can name by their play. David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Angus Young, Satch and Slash are among those to me.

I love Gilmour and Floyd. My bands always play a few of their tunes. Money, Time, Numb, Young lust, Have a Cigar etc. It always goes over.

My tastes aren't very typical here. 
On the 25th I am going to the American Carnage Tour.
Featuring Slayer, Megadeth and Testament.  I have been
listening to all these guys since the late 80's. 
Slayer has the best Mosh pits available in my opinion.

My first concert was Pink Floyd.  Me and my girl got
picked out of a crowd of a few thousand and we got
to hang out with a few of the PINK People.
They are a very intersting bunch. 

My last concert was Five Finger Death Punch, Shadows Fall, OTEP, and a few others.   Suicidal Tendencies before that.

I graduated HS in 88.   My middle school dus driver used to listen to the Dead Kennedys.  Thats where I had my first exposure to those guys. 

I saw Five Finger Death Punch last year at the House of BLues. They were pretty good. 

I wish the Slayer tour would come to San Diego.  Have not seen them or Megadeth.  You might want to look into it I thinjk the tour has been poistponed.


Testament is one of my favorite bands of all time.  Probably the best show I have ever seen was the legacy tour at 1st ave. in Mpls. back in '88 or '89

Man I am so jealous! That is one band that I really wanted to see live but never did. My brother in law said he saw them at the US festival in Cali I think it was. He said they dropped a bunch of straw VH hats out of a plane into the crowd for shade. I never got to see many live acts. Was always a good time though.

My first concert was on 11/14/74. ELO & Deep Purple.

ELO was really good. Way better than expected.

   My first concert was Teenage Head (my uncle knew them and snuk me in) and sortly after that it was Iron Maiden on the PowerSlave tour with Twisted Sister opening up. Ever since then I have seen hundreds of bands - Slayer, Motorhead, Sonic Youth, Gwar, Converge, Rollins, Bad Brains, The Speacals, Joan Jett, Janes Addiction, My Bloody Valentine, Link Ray, The Cramps, Robert Gordon, etc... heavy on the Metal, Punk, Alternative with some other stuff thrown in.

  In my hands i have tickets for The Black rebel Motorcycle Club, The Big Pink/ A Place To Bury Strangers and Henry Rollins spoken word.
