BTW, anybody order their level I suspension kit?  Any reviews?  I wonder if there is a wait on it as I may order the setup for mine soon.

This is one of the reasons I wanted to order from them... they seem like real mopar guys. I could have gotten identical belts from other places...but they are members here and didnt mark the belts up crazy and all.. so I figured i would buy from them.

I got my belts and bolts, but trying to mount the inner belt with the plastic sleeve is a PITA.  :banghead: The plastic is bent the opposite of what it needs to be to mount to the hump. I talked to scott and he said he had not had any other complaints. I ended up using a heat gun and slightly modifing the plastic sleeve so they would work. It's to bad this can't be corrected as the rest worked good. Let me know how the rest of you make out.

I agree that it would be much easier to mount the inner belts if the plastic "sleeves" were contoured in the other direction.  I have had the belts installed in my car for about a month and a half, and think they are a great improvement over the stock belts, and nobody has even noticed that they are not stock.

I wonder if you wouldn'y mind posting a pic of the inner mishaped piece to see how bad it is.  :picture:

Maybe Wesco sells a correct one instead?

Thanks Bud :2thumbs:

ChevCovert, Here are a few pics of the belts intsalled. Wesco belts are the same so you would end up with the same problem. The first pic shows how the plastic is moulded. I have another set still to install in my other challenger and I may try something different there. Other than this problem they seen to work great.

Thanks for the pics. Looks good...couldn't really see what the problem was once installed.
Just made the install a pain in the arse I guess you're saying.

Do you think the '70 undercarpet retractor design would cause any problem retrofitting this above the carpet?

I'm thinking I could sell my nice black set for enough $ to cover the cost of these

If you look at the second pic, the plastic is sunken in just up from the attaching point because it is bent opposite of the way it was formed. When you move it closer to the seat to buckel the belt, it kinks the plastic. I don't know what the thought was there. I just installed the belts in my other challenger and used the factory sleeves over the XV belts and they look and work alot better.  I don't see why they wouldn't work on a 70.

Here is the thread on their level 1 kit over on moparts. Feedback sounds good.
