Shining up 'dull' tires?
« on: October 06, 2007 - 06:11:15 PM »
My nittos dont seem to shine up to well  :dunno: I've scrubbed the walls with soapy water to see if there was a coating or something on them for shelf life, doesn't seem to help. Anyone know of more than a 'spray and walk', that actually can penetrate and bring out the shine? Something readily availible at a local store....or maybe a home-brew?

Thanks

I use Wizard's vinyl shine on mine. Makes 'em look really nice, and not too shiny.

I always just use Westly's Bleech White, leaves them with a nice satin sheen.

Back in the old days, we used to scrub the white letters with a scrub brush and Comet cleanser. Then we would go over the whole tire with furniture polish.

Now there are at least a dozen products to do both.

I asked a similar question and got some great responses.  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=37505.0
I ended up using More Shine.  Trust me, your tires will shine!!!   :grinyes:  Wesleys tire bleech works the best for cleaning your white letters and gets the blackwall squeaky clean.

Just a note... while it definitely cleans the tires, it does a number on the trim rings if you let it there too long. Word of warning.   :bricks1:
