My new ricer!

Got it today, its a 92 R/T n/a with about 86,000 miles on it.  5 spd.  The pictures make it look nicer, there are some rock chips on the hood and stuff but otherwise its pretty straight.  It has been lowered 2".  Those rims behind it are curb rashed BAD!  I got those with it, the tires are nice, but otherwise they are pretty messed up.  I think I'm selling them just for the tires.  Its a blast to drive, still have to get used to it though, I havent ever driven a stick car, only trucks.

It's basically a re-skinned Mitsubishi 3000GT from what I've heard. I know Mitsubishi and Dodge had a relationship in the 80s and 90s. My friend had one of those tiny tin can Dodge trucks for a long while. Then I realized that it was basically a re-badged Mitsubishi.

The Eagle Talon is a re-skinned Mitsubishi Eclipse.

So, yeah, it's rice, but not bad rice at least.

Nice, I bought a brand new (Mitsubishi) 1980 Plymouth Sapporo 5spd midnight blue metallic back then and that car was great, but yes it was still a ricer..
Wish I still had it. It was really my wife's car. Fun to drive and great on gas...
Also had 2 Dodge Colt GT's one '71 & '74 and 3 Plymouth Arrow GT's '76/'77/'78's...

Congrats on the purchase, Steve!!!  I don't think you did bad on the deal at all!!!  So I take it you got a little better with shifting at higher RPMs...I was kind of scared my driveshaft's bearings (three of them!) were going out, but it was just me.  I see you have leather interior, too.  Very cool

Thanks Mark.  I did get used to shifting higher, the thing really pulls once it gets up there.  I took the freeway about 10 miles to get it registered today, going 60 halfway through third gear on the accel ramp kinda scared me, I have no idea how fast it would go.  The leather is nice, makes it real easy to get in and out.  I sent you a PM.

My wife had a 3000GT about the same year. Full leather package, factory surround sound, sun roof. Real fun to drive. Stating having issues with the motor so we decided to trade it in for a 4 door Honda. Those engines have a bad habit of seizing the rings in the pistons.

That's good to hear you've gotten a better feel for the car.  As for doing 60 mph in third, how do you think I felt going from a Toyota that felt weird in fifth doing 75 mph when I can hit close to 80 mph in second? lol (The turbos really help it get there quick)
So, are we going to have two Stealths driving to Carlisle this upcoming year?  I'm hoping to get a good tune-up and some other things checked/fixed if needed and I should be ready to roll.   Hopefully I can get it to use around 30 mpg by then...I've been right around 24-25 since I drove it back, but I know it was running pretty rich as my eyes took a beating with the premium's fumes.
