Where the he11 did this post go? I don't even know where to begin... go take your valium and sit down.

Anyway my point was this .. I thought it was great to see the (underdogs, the little guys, the not so popular) out in the front of the field for once. WTF were MOPAR guys here ..look in the mirror!!!! The bowtie boys most likely out number us 1000 to 1. Granted Mr Gordon... known at my house as the whiner, won today.

Belive me I understand how most feel about any kind of rice, hmmmm thnk it makes anyone here wake up??/ come out of their coma??? I's getting harder to know who the home team really is these days. (Dodges made in Mexico, Camry's made in USA,Impalas made in Canada (no offense intended)

Belive me other than minor differnces in motor design (NASCAR specs) these cars are all very much the same . Ford 9in style rear end, saginaw (GM) steering . I have sponsored a "late model" locally for years and it's not much different.

Let it rest guy's geeeeezzzzzz   :drama:

Now about this HOT Russian..... errrr I'm gonna let that rest too.

Ok, the 'world' series of baseball? how many other countries (with any chance of winning) play in that? Nascar and the whole 'foot down, steer left' style of auto racing (the rest of the world discovered right hand turns a long time ago), I've never seen a team from another country at the superbowl either.  :poopoke:

Sorry for being part of hijacking your thread Bigshclunk :bricks1:

Yea the Toyota's showed well in qualifying & Mikey was looking good till he was caught up in someone else's wreck, Penski's Dodges were looking pretty strong toward the end but wonder boy Gordon showed everyone how to screw your teammate for the win.....top Toyota was 3rd maybe their best ever finish.  Best part is TStewart got screwed too.

Ok, the 'world' series of baseball? how many other countries (with any chance of winning) play in that?

We invented the sport, and it became the official national pastime (supposedly still is).  So, the World Series was set up. At that time, the US was the only nation to play baseball.  Now Japan loves baseball as much as we did back in the 40s and 50s, and a few other nations play it.  But, the league never changed it's rules to include other nations, something which I believe they are talking about, albiet quietly.

Again, an American sport, which no other nation embraces.  How are we supposed to include them?

Oh, this one is easy.  No other nation is man enough to play football. :P

:smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

In all fun or sporting, don't take it serious but, what? put pads, helmets, tights and have 50 players on each side stopping every 2 minutes for substitution? Rugby, that's a real mans sport, just some shorts and a jumper and the same hard hits except you don't have guys protecting you. 1 man vs 15 other bricks. Let me know when a gridiron player gets one ball bag ripped out and continues playing the game (as has happened in International rugby, Kiwi player). ;)

As for your "do I think it's a little arrogant comment", nope, not one bit. I can't see how it's the same as saying all "white people are better as a whole" (your words not mine). It's a fact and whether you like to admit it is up to you and doesn't mean anything to me if anyone excepts it, put your pride to the side, it's blinding you if you think otherwise. Take a look at any major international racing series, it's all European names. Driving is a way of life in Europe, it's a passion, where as in mainstream America it's "just a means of transport".

Anyhow, topics gone off a bit. My point was Toyota in the series isn't all bad.

Peace.

As far as sports go ever count the number of U.S. medals won in the Olympics?A lot of other countrie compete there also.  ::)  Lance Armstrong dominated a very Europoean sport of bycycle racing for years.European countries do have a much better system for breeding good young drivers which just means there are more to choose from so more will make it to the top level, doesn`t mean they are all better.Having Toyoda in Nascar may mean better better competition but I think they let them in to attarct the younger fans but at the cost of losing us older fans.Attendance and tv ratings are down so I think they are losing more fans than they are gainning.

As I was told  'the Bill France family owns NASCAR and will do anything to continue the family making money off of NASCAR.'  Is there any truth in that statement?

I believe Canada has this style of racing don't they? and it is called "CASCAR"!!  and aren't some of THOSE drivers in NASCAR? and I believe NASCAR is trying to acquire CARCAR?
