Bouchillon's even has a "Hidden" mount bracket, if you have an electric fuel pump.

Sorry, I didnt get back to this for a while...lol.  The vintage arir system issues..lets see: The heater box comes with E body specific brackets. But they dont fit either on the box well, or in the chassis well. So be prepared to cut some of the bracket away. The ducting pushes on the registers. If you drive the car, or move your feet at all, I would tie wrap the ducting on the registers to keep it there. You lose the Map light an the passenger side vent assembly. That hole is plugged by supplied block off. The condensor..ugh. It was "spec'd and test fit to a '73 CUda with the non AC radiator opening". My guess is, it either didnt have the safety cut of switch, or didnt have a grille installed. Because with the switch, the grille wont go in..or you can orient the terminals so the wires run thru the grille...lol. Or do what I did. I moved the whole mess back to clear the radiator, plus other stuff I had in teh way. A stock car you will not be able to do that in. So be prepared. Interestingly, the switch does not appear on any parts picture, except for the parts list. And there is no mention of the switch except in the wiring instructions that says "you must run one to keep warranty". If they could move the switch to the low pressure gas hoseassembly, it would be a drop in. You will still need a compressor and brackets. Everything else comes with it. All in all, not a bad install for a totaly aftermarket part. Operation seems to be good, but there is a delay of about 10-15 seconds once a control level is moved.

I had the same issue with my low pressure switch! It screws in to the top of the receiver/dryer but the terminals bind up against the grille. I used flag style terminal ends and had to slightly bend the terminals to make it clear. All my lines were bent and fit custom but still sounds as if it follows the VintageAire kit. Glad to hear you got it going. Are you going to add an electric fan for the condensor?

The car I installed it on currently has twin electric puller fans on a sensor, a huge Griffen radiator, an oil cooler, a trans cooler, the condensor, and driving lights, all in very close proximity. Even if I wanted to, I couldnt use a fan there. But, I may use the optional trinary switch to activate the cooling fans when the A/C clutch cycles. It depends on how the system functions. I dont know how well it cools now. It was 50° outside when he picked it up...lol
