I am running 3" TTI x pipe with TTI headers. The headers are made for the alterkation front suspension but they are very low so I will have some custom work done with the pipe to tuck it tighter to the body.

Here are some pics of my car. It will go to the shop of the interior this week and then I just have to get the glass in and grille and a little trim. I have to say there are days that I have really hated this thing but I must admit when I pulled it out to take these pictures, it is coming together just as I had planned.

I have never put it to the test yet. Only a couple of laps up and down my street but I will say that I was in 1st gear and push the gas pedel about 1/2 inch and she pushed me back hard. You can tell she is going to want to run. I thought I would do some test drives last weekend but I had some really bad luck. I was orignally going to mounts some bolts through my trunk floor to hold my air tank but later decided to put the tank somewhere else, so I took the nut off the bolt and was just going to let it roll off the top of the gas tank and on to the ground. That was some weeks ago and I forgot to make sure that it had fallen all the way through. I was out in my car and started to punch it and it just died. I figured out that it had blown a fuse for the fuel pump. Once I traced it down, I could not find any nicks in the wire and thought that my new fuel pump must have died. So I had to pull the bumper, rear valance and finally the gas tank only to find that bolt had fell onto the top of the gas tank and (with the help of some dynomat) stuck to the positive terminal of the fuel pump and shorted it out against the tank. Well that took me all day to fix, so I was in no mood to do a major test drive. I am sure that there will be much fine tuning to be done before it is over.

Confederate Cuda,
Your Cuda is OUTSTANDING! Beautiful work and execution!
I have a '71 Cuda with a 6.1 Hemi and still have issues with the remote mounted p/s reservoir. Is that a Street & Performance power steering pump with reservoir? Does it whine at all? I am thinking of switching to that set-up because the remote reservoir set-up I got from Street & Performance is not working too well. I spoke to some power steeirng specialists and they tell me the reservoir to pump feed line is too small in diamtere and does not keep up with the pump's demand.

On a different subject, I am purchasing a set of Fikse wheels myself. How long did it take from the time you ordered 'till you received them and what time of year was it?

Thanks for any help you can send my way

808cuda  my  :2cents:

Are you running the chevy pump and a smaller line?

I have a remote on my 6.1 with a 5/8 feed line (5.7 pump)  no winning but I haven’t left the garage.

hey, thanks for the reply!

I initially installed their chevy/GM pump with the "lower rated 950 psi" and that one was horrible. (BTW, I am running a Firm Feel Stage 2 box).
Then I replaced it with a 6.1 Hemi p/s pump, better but still develops a whine and inconsistent pressure when driving for extended periods of time, like the freeway. Driving locally or for short periiods of time, no whining.
I am pretty sure I am running a 5/8" line, I forget. It is the line recommended/sold to me be St & Perf.

Thanks again!
