Front tire size

I am using 15x7 rallye's with 4 1/4 backspacing on my 71 R/T.I was going to put 245x60s on the front.Will that work?If not what will without rubbing?

Yes, it will fit, no rubbing. I run the exact same set up on a stock suspension, stock car.
I have seen in person with my own eyes a Challenger running 265s up front. :sly: Why? I have no idea. :screwy:

245 is the maximum recommended size for a 7" rim.  I'm running 235/60 on the front of mine.

Actually 255 is the max recommended for a 15X7" rim in a 60 series. That's what I got on my rear, but my front's are 14X6 with 70 series 225's which works out to the same 26" diameter.

This is my long winded way of saying the 15", 60 series, 245's will work up front.   :thumbsup:

i run 235/55/17 which are comparable to about 235/65/15 with 4 1/2" BS with no clearance issues. 27.2" tall, 9.3" patch on 8" wide tires.

That's good to know, I've been considering put 255/60s on the rear, to give my car more of a T/A rake (235/60s on the front).

When I have the radials on the T/A they are 235 on front and 275 on the rear. They are all on 15X7 rallies. I have never had a problem with them. I have the same on the RR only with steal wheels and dog dish caps. They are 15X7's also.
