Mopar Performance cast air cleaner element?
« on: October 09, 2007 - 07:18:17 PM »
Do they make a 13 1/4" low profile air cleaner element for the MP cast air cleaner? It clears my hood ok but just looks too tall. Anyone been there, done that?

Mike,

I haven't seen such an animal.  :grinno: The problem is, if you shrink that much more, you are hurting air-flow. For what it's worth, I have the K&N air-filter on mine, but it has a drop-down base plate. I wonder if you mated their base plate to the Mopar air-filter...  :naughty:

take the element with you to autozone/napa/checkers whatever.   ask them for one or start digging thru their boxes.   you can probably find one that will work that is list for some other car out there.

K&N has a measurement search, even lists the models they fit.

Did that, and found one but it was only 1/4" shorter than the stock unit. Checked all their Fram and STP stock. I'll check that K&N site, thanks
