Grenaded my transmission
« on: October 10, 2007 - 12:38:13 PM »
Wouldnt you know it, last race of the year up here and the poor transmission gives up the ghost. At least it didnt oil down the track. Check out the little bit of air under the front tire on the launch..heh  heh heh, not bad for 3:55 gearing and a 3000 stall convertor and pump fuel. The first clip is warmin up the tires and the second is the launch that killed the trans. The place that built the transmission has the car now and I think while its apart I will through in a trans brake.

At least it lasted all summer. Gives you a lot of time to fix it. By the way, cool videos! :2thumbs:

I guess it beats grenading in July!  Our season is too short to lose a couple of weeks (like with my driveshaft and diff fiasco this year) :stomp:

I like the "day light" under the front tires.  Next time maybe we will see some bumpper draging.

To bad about your trans.  It will be back better and stronger than before.  :2thumbs:

Looked like that would have been a great run down the track.  Sorry to hear about your trans.

:clueless: Make sure you have a low band apply. (all transbrakes should so if you go that route you should be fine) I bet ya a nickel it hurt the sprag in the burn out,do you use low gear for the burn out?
