nice 70 black challenger
« on: October 15, 2007 - 01:10:24 AM »
Dont know if you guys have seen this yet but its a pretty nice 70 challenger. All though im not liking the hood too much.

They also made an ebody charger which they made wider, shortened, and took some off the roof.

That's not really my taste, but I'll sure take that engine.  :grinyes:  :grinyes:

Looks good to me - simplified the tail end, softened the body lines, and flush fit the glass. From the side profile the car has a very nice G-stance. Am not that crazy about tall wheels on Ebods but they seem to work on that car. Not sure where they got the idea for that interior when the external theme seems to be more innovative. I would have expected aftermarket buckets and slicked out instrumetn panel and steering wheel. That has got to be the first Ebody I have seen with the stereo located in the center dash vent area.

I like it,nice subtle design.I`d put back the door handles and smaller, different style wheels though.

I like it except for the hood and interior.   The blacked out grille and chrome is slick. Some good ideas.   What is.."flush fit the glass" mean? :clueless:

I personally think the Charger and Challenger they did are the worst "custom" mopars done so far.  They look like someone crapped out a 68 Charger and missed half of it.  Who wants an b-body thats an e-body, but is still a b-body?  They both looked horrible in person, black and gold, black and gold.

I guess I go with the minority and admit that I like this!  I think it was on display at the Auborn Car auction.  Pretty nice in person.

Doesn't do much for me. I can tell a lot of work went into it but to me it looks like a freshly painted shell with a custom interior thrown in. Deletion of door handles, drip moldings, reverse and marker lights make it look gutted out imo. Slick paint job though.

Interior sux and I think the smoothed out front end makes it look too longish.

Bob Alloway's Challenger is an example of how it should be done:
