1974 Magazine Ad For Plymouth
« on: October 16, 2007 - 02:05:18 AM »
I found this magazine ad folded up in my Shop Manual...its been in there since '74, except I don't remember putting it in there.  Too much carbon monoxide from the Cuda burning up my brain cells!!

When I moved to Alabama in early '74 my only means of transportation was my 20" bike and life was good; I quickly learned though, that dating would be a problem :screwy: :clueless:

Next year less than a mile from our apartment was a small used car lot with what could pass as a carbon copy of the 74 Road Runner in the add. Who knows why, but i went bonkers over it  :droolingbounce: :jumping: It was a 318 car priced in the $2k-$3k range but Dad wouldn't budge when i begged him to cosign the loan :walkaway:

Same thing when i found a creampuff triple green F8 1969 Coronet 440 column-auto 318 car. Mom's favorite color was always green but even she couldn't sway him. I distinctly remember a B5 73 'cuda (souped up with headers, Cragars, and N-50s) on the same lot but again I have no idea why the Coronet got my attention :dunno:

Fast forward a couple of years and again i'm going nuts over a 73 Challenger Rallye    spotted on a used car lot. Again the price is around $2500 after the trade-in value of my 66 Mustang (don't ask...) but for some reason Dad agrees :worshippy and the rest is history :ylsuper: :ylsuper:

Please excuse the history but thanks for posting that ad hooD
