Cuda Getting Prepped For Winter
« on: October 16, 2007 - 02:21:34 AM »
The battery is out, the antenna is laying on the front seat, the tank is full of gas, and the tires have been lifted off the ground via cement blocks.  This Cuda is hibernating for the winter.  Now I can't wait until summer is here again!  I covered the car up after these pictures.  I will post some 'mummy pictures' of the final cover up soon.

Heh the rain this week was fun... Get your ass out there and start burning! Just remember to give your car a good power washing after.

Wow,

Are you giving up already? Mine never really hibernates. If I were you, I would have waited another month+ given your location.

The weather in Michigan changes faster than a Mustang   :horse: running from a Mopar. I love driving through the AutoAlliance Plant where the Mustangs are built...I get some heads turning there!  I have to admit, some of those mustangs look sweet.  But anyway, I will not drive the Cuda in the rain and this is the rainy season coming up.  Believe it or not, I drove my Cuda 383 miles this summer, the most miles I have driven in decades.

Below, is the Cuda looking like a mummy.

Man, makes those of use who can drive 24/7/365 look like we take it for granted. She looks nice and snug. Question if I may, why not just by a car cover for her? I got one from Year One and it's excellent, no scratches or marks, fits perfectly from rear to front lower valances and only exposes the bottom 1/4 of the tires. Has a bungee/elastic style cord that goes under the car that ties to the other side to keep it tight.  :)

:violin:   Mine are put away also. It's been raining here for at least 3 weeks of and mostly on. We did have a dry Saturday last weekend so the wife and I took the RR for a long ride and then put it away also.  :woohoo:

hooD,

It sure looks like your car will keep warm under the blanky.  :grinyes: It's also nice you left bottles of refreshment for it under the front end.

Sorry, I didn't post the pictures below sooner.  The Cuda is covered up with a car cover that I ordered from a J.C. Whitney catalog back in 1975.  The inside of the cover is made of soft flannel, my paint job loves it!

All of the other mummy wrap on the car is preventative protection in case something comes too close to the car....I don't want any dings or scratches.  I keep my wife's 96 Cougar parked in the garage next to the Cuda, so I need to take drastic measures!   :grinyes:

I see you have a guard dog to keep the big kitty away from the fish. It all makes sense now... :smilielol:

Aha! I see, good idea, anything extra helps I guess. Keep her snug.
