Well the appraiser was out at the yard yesterday. He was gonna run the numbers on my damage and call me today. Nothing goin' on all day till this afternoon when I had to load a semi trailer. I was right in the middle of it. Guess when he calls??   :banghead:

Maybe tomorrow, they're not gonna let me have that 300M forever.  :eek7:

quoting...Total the car seems to be way too common these days. They said that to my folks recently and got another estimate and it didn't need to be from another estimator.

TC, I can vouch for the response that many accidents result in "totaled" vehicles.  My sister's been with Progressive the past couple years now and it seems like she's always commenting on how she drove out to assess some vehicle that usually ends up being considered totaled through their guidelines.  I've also noticed a lot of the guys I know in the auto body business get some killer deals on great vehicles that were totaled by insurance companies.

Bigs, so what's the next move with the Explorer?  If they give you enough, a new(er) Durango is very nice.

Well gang I got the call today. The ins. co. will pay me 7K which IMO good $$$ for that truck. I could have bought it back, but I really don't need another project right now. And I already have some in the yard for parts so, I decided it can go.  The rental car goes back next Tues. So now I need a new work ride. I'll go used but 06-07 with some warranty left on it. Did that beforealways worked ouyt good. For what I need my choices are kinda slim  I've always had a 2 door 4x4, for a few basic reasons....
1. Miss NIKKI and the Big Girl own my garage.
2. Living in the city my available parking is limited so short wheelbase is crucial! (Have to park wife's car too)
3. Junior is a 110 lbs german shep
4. Need it to haul or deliver parts on occasion.

Now as the world turns nobody makes anything any more 2 door. Or am I forgetting something???
I need something no longer than than a Jeep Liberty/Ford Explorer (2DR) 4X4 - short wheel base - room for dog/parts.
Why do I always drool when I see you guys with these big garages at home..  :eek7:

I'm opening Pandora's box here..........

Suggestions?   :dunno:
