Yep...the part number with a red X below it.   The X will be the easy part.    I wonder how you could put the part numbers back onto a new box?

Are there any suspension paint marks still visable?

My wife does the scrap book thing with stickers and stampers.  That's where I got the idea for how you could put numbers onto the voltage regulator.  Buy a number pad and a white inked stamp pad from a hobby store or online.  Here's an idea:  http://www.thestampmaker.com/Products/Trodat-4846-Number-Stamp__TRODAT_4846.aspx
Stamp the number you want, then clear coat it.

Suspension paint marks...if there were any they were covered up with the Ziebart rustproofing spray in 1972.

HS tassels?  One of the few rights of passage that have not changed through the years.

Hung them up around the mirror in 1972, and they haven't been moved since!

That influence your cars color selection?

my 1978 K5 Chevy Blazer 4X4.  Picture taken in 1979 on the Lake Huron beach at Port Crescent State Park.  I drove this thing while the Cuda was hibernating for the winter.  35 gallon gas tank with 8 miles per gallon.  The 350 cu in 4 bbl sucked gas to no end.  I also ordered this brand new from the factory during 1978.  That's my wife of 31 years now.  She liked my truck!
