R/T Specialties Order
« on: October 19, 2007 - 08:50:33 AM »
I know that folks here have mentioned that the owner of this place gets really busy during the summer show season.  I placed an order in April (for those not familiar, placing an order with R/T involves filling out an order form and waiting for them to contact you for payment, so I'm not out any money).  Never heard from him, sent a follow-up e-mail in July.  Never heard from him on THAT, sent another follow-up e-mail in September.  Still haven't heard from him.  Is he dead? In hibernation after the show season? Wishing that all the customers would just go away so he can rest?  :dunno:

Seriously though, everybody seemed to think he's a great guy in the posts that I read, but somebody who takes 6 months to confirm an order leaves me with not so good feelings.  Any ideas?

Try calling PH: (570) 388-1082, it's possible that yours or his email service is blocked. My last purchase was before the on-line store was available & emails got me no where so I called.
Did you give a credit card# & did a charge ever show?

Thanks, Bullitt.  No money has changed hands, so I'm out nothing so far. I'll try the number and see what happens.

That's funny.  I used them several time here recently with no problems.  Maybe it is your server.  I have also spoken with them personally.  Try the number.  I can tell you that his stuff is as described and I have not had a problem with any clips I have pirchased from him.

Thanks. I had thought about the server as well, but I e-mail him before the order to ask questions about what I was ordering and he got back to me within a day each time for three e-mails, so I'm reasonably sure that my e-mails are going out and that he's getting them.  Unless maybe he's changed something on his end.

I've ordered from him once with no problems. He contacted me the next day, and parts were shipped immediately.

You might want to give Bill a try @ http://amhightechauto.com/.  He carries a lot of the stuff R/T Specialties does.

I did send them a fax, must have been a year ago. Haven`t heard from them yet.
Don`t think I will either.
I`ll give a try another time.
