hood pin locations

i was wondering if anyone had pics of the hood pin locations for both the front and rear pins for a lift off hood? Just wondering how it is done in case i decide to go this way.

the front pins are easy to locate , the hole is already int the body & you can see the hole in the inner hood frame , the rear is totally up to you they never had a lift of hood so you need to make brackets & holes

For the back I just took a piece of steel about 1"w x 6"L and bent it into a L shape, drilled a hole in the top for a pin, marked and drilled two holes in the side for where the hood hinge was and bolted it in place..

i`ll have to get some pics of mine,it`s a cuda but should give you some ideas for yours.I made a bracket that uses the 3 hood hinge bolt holes and places the pin in line with the fronts side to side and above the cowl as I thought having them directly above the hinge location was too far forward and did not look very good.You can see how far back they are in these pics but I don`t have any of the brackets yet.

Here are some pictures of pin brackets we made to put a lift of hood on a Swinger.These bolt into the hood hinge bolts so they can be removed and the hinges put back on later if he wanted to go back to a stock hood.

what are the rubber bumpers on there?

Those were used to set the height of the pin and were later thrown away.

right on, thanks for the info and pics. if anyone has any other pics please post them, i think i might go with the 4 pin lift off hood
