Looks like you get almost everything.  The drive shaft will be the same if you have a 727 in it now. You still need the correct flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and you have to have the newer ball bearing pilot bearing for the end of your crank. Hopefully, your crank was drilled for a older style oil-lite bronze bushing. Don't use the older type since the grease will dry out in it and you'll have to pull the trans to re-grease it. (I just did mine again) The complete kit is the way to go if you don't want to piece it all together yourself.  I have 2 4-speed cars now and have enough stuff to convert my auto car to a stick too, but I'm trying the 518 auto in it.

When I cruised Woodward ave. this year, it took 5-1/2 hours to go down a 4 miles then come back. Constantly working my clutch by moving a foot or two every second is probably what dried out my bushing. This is the only time that I ever thought about having an automatic.

My friend Scott Wilson sell the z-bar frame bracket.  Look fir him in Collector's guide.

Not too complicated.  Just get it and you'll be very happy later.    Don't forget the dash mounted REVERSE light.  My friend sell those too.

that set doesn`t show the adjuster rod or the rod from the pedal to the Zbar , 727 & 833 wil swap driveshafts , length & yolk are the same
typically it takes me 24 of work to do the swap , so 2 guys 1 day or all by myself 2 days , the fastest I have done one we started at 10 am & he drove the car home at 2 am

The price of the kit seems kinda expensive to me. If you were willing to go with an A833OD, I picked up a tranny, SB bellhousing, shifter mechanism, flywheel and Yoke for like $175.  Mind you to do the swap I still need the shifter mount plate, pistol grip, pedals, rods, Z bar, hump, reverse light etc but I can't see that stuff costing $1700.   :dunno:

Risko - By no means do we want to discourage you.  We just want to make sure you are well informed as to what all you need and the best way to go about getting it.  The best thing you can do is start acquiring the parts, and as you build up an inventory add on to this thread (or start a new one) with a listing of what all you have, and guaranteed we will let you know what you might be missing.  Once you have everything you need, then get to it.

Like I said, I did the same thing just last year, and I can't even tell you how happy I am for it.  We've had this car for 15 years, and every time I drove it I wished it was a 4 speed, and it finally is.

So 1badfish,   If you were to round up all that stuff in a kit, how much would you sell it for?  Getting everything separate and incliding your time, adds up. Also include the shipping that companies like brewers would charge you. That hump also looks blasted and primed. It sometimes takes me a few years in swap meets before I find another Pistol grip or shift rods.

Considering I have a long way to go to get the car back on the road, the thought of conversion just adds to the expense, labor, headache factor...But on the other hand, this is something that I've wanted for 20 years and I am smiling with every bit of rust that I remove! The thought of the finished product with me cruising down the road with a pistol grip in my hand conjures emotions of Clark W Griswald seeing WallyWorld for the first time!  ;D  :crying:

Amen to that!!  Just do it.  If you're redoing the whole car, the cost for this will be a drop in the bucket.  Look at it this way, you're probably going to have to put money into a transmission no mater what, so you might as well make it what you want.

What is this "sheetmetal firewall support" PG mentioned - I've not heard of that and if it needs to be welded in it would be good to do it now before the car is painted?

I believe it is commonly referred to as a "dog bone".  This might be what he means.
