I think that California is a nice place - we will see if this is also reality.
We wasn't in the United States before ... So it will be a surprise how it is in reality ;) !

The closer you get to Hollywood the less real it gets.  :dunno:
It is funny how our media puts the lives of Holywood movie stars at the forefront. We are all a little tired of the Britney Spears and Tom Cruise media. Although, D.C. sometimes seams like the HollyWierd of the East Coast.
I am really excited for you to have a good time here. I couldn't imagine how I would take all the intracacies of our society if I were a foreigner.
Good luck and safe travels. :2thumbs:

Alex, You HAVE to go to In 'n' Out Burger. There is at least one in LV and they are all over Southern California. I crave it all the time. Last I ate there was 3 years ago but I still think about the milk shakes! Mmmmm...

I think you chose your itinerary well.   Its enough driving, but not too much.

If you can at least hike down to Indian Gardens at the Grand Canyon you should try.

When you go to San Diego you should visit the Zoo and Balboia (unsure of spelling) Park.  If you like seafood try The Fish Market.  It's on the water down by an aircraft carrier.  Last take a stroll after dinner in the gaslamp district.

Glad ya's are having a great time. The Grand Canyon has long been on my personal list of places to visit. Being there in person just has to put things in perspective.

On your way to San Francisco, if you take route 1, you may want to stop and check out Carmel, Pebble Beach, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the view of Half Moon Bay.
Enjoy the smell from the eucalyptus trees along the way.

Enjoy your tour of the States! :2thumbs:
